A description from Droguistes

This exhibition was part of the Mirage Festival, presented in a format called « speedshow » (created by the artist Aram Bartholl). This format consists on renting all computers from a Cyber Café to transform it into an ephemeral museum.

The exhibition presents some forms and artists’s thinkings who work with notions of digital flow, exchange and network as a source of creation.

By gathering heterogeneous artworks, from the seventies to nowadays, this exhibition brings to the public some esthetics , concepts and questions raised by the development of the techniques of telecommunication.

His title C.A.F.E. – Communication Access For Everyone – refer to the first Electronic Café International (ECI) invented by the artists Kit Galloway and Sherrie Rabinowitz in 1984 [1]
